Our story

Growing up in opposite ends of the Netherlands both Cécile and Tristan have had an eye for aesthetics from an early age. This resulted in wanting to be the smartest looking kid in class to changing the interior of your room every several months. 

Later Cécile went on to work in high-end retail for several years. Learning the wants and needs of customers and the organisation behind a brand. Tristan also ran a men’s retail shop trying to figure out what it’s like to have your own store. But when the two lives collided they started contemplating; why not have our own brand. 

 Inspired by Paris and Japan two of our favourite places in the world, they started visualising what that could contain. While Tristan was focused on developing his photography and editing, Cécile was working as store manager for a jewelry brand. In 2019 they realised that those two trades could very well be the initial output for the first collection.

Atelier Neko will be an inclusive brand that is always looking for new opportunities and ways to evolve. We also keep an eye out for mother nature by using as many sustainable products as possible.
